Default Any experience/problems with 2016 Volvo Penta 1.79 SX-A outdrive

I was told some of the volvo penta outdrives had a history of problems.
Has anyone had any problems with the 2016 Volvo Penta 1.79 Sxa drive

thanks

They made a drive called "Sea Core" that had housings made of what was basically plastic. Those were problematic. SX drives have been around for decades and are just fine. Replace the OEM aluminum alloy anodes for a set of magnesium anodes and it will be less likely to corrode in fresh water. Leave the orignal anodes on if you plan to use it in fresh and salt water.
