Church Landing is mostly rentals. Condo's bring a different element to the area. I'm not saying it's bad just different. People that rent tend to spend more money as they are tourists. People that own Condo's will cook meals in house and generally won't spend as much money in the shops as tourists.

I was a projectionist there in the early 80's lots of great memories. Sad that another icon is going... that said, I hope it really improves the Weirs.

The article is referring more to style and shopping not hotel rooms vs condos.

People that rent a room have no choice but to go to a restaurant to eat but if you own your own place you can cook your own meals. I know, it's only a theory.
