Default Best internet provider for Rattlesnake Island?

I've searched and found a few posts regarding internet providers but nothing specific to good service on Rattlesnake. Does anyone have a provider they are happy with. I'm only looking for good internet that I can work a few days out of house. Thank you

As far as internet on Rattlesnake Is. goes, this is the best you will get...

Just kidding
The topic has been discussed at length. I’m sure a Rattlesnake resident will chime in soon. Good luck!

You're right tethering is an option. One of my neighbors made a recommendation but then complains about the company he recommended. Another uses Atlantic and says it’s fine but doesn’t use it for work. I’ll ask around this weekend but it seems like the choices are limited. Thanks for your help

Viasat (or other)KA band sat internet can get you enough data to stream like 6 Ultra high def shows at once. Not cheap, however reliable and no wires...

Otherwise, tether to the tablet/phone. works pretty well.

Get one of these and add a line to your cell plan that allows unthrottled tethering, pop a sim card in and you're done.

I had a house on Rattlesnake Island for many years.

The only land-based Internet service was DSL.

You could use a phone, and has been mentioned.

.....OR...... You could do what I did for a number of years, and that was to find someone on the mainland, whose house you can see from your location. Then bring in standard cable TV based high speed Internet to that house, or split the existing service with the home owner, etc.... Then use a point to point wireless link, designed for the purpose, to achieve connectivity between the two locations (yours on the Island, and your mainland spot).

I did this for several years, and it works perfectly.

Default A new wireless alternative for Internet.

Just saw an ad for a new company. https://www.cyanwireless.com/
They provide a router that uses a cell tower. Unlimited data (well, up to 900 gigs / month), no throttling, no contract, flat rate ($109/month) and it's "portable". [They also have a router specifically for RV's.]

I have no experience with these folks, but what I read sounds pretty good and since there's no up-front fees or contract...

They must use existing infrastructure such as Verizon or AT&T. I would take a wait and see on this.
