Sport events in the summer to take part in
Hi- I posted this on the activities thread as well, but figured this maybe more active. I'm interested in taking part of any races/ running/walking/ min triathalons, etc held in the Lakes region. As the warm weather will soon be approaching I would love to set some goals. the Granite State Tri is too much for me, i need something on a lower scale. Let me know!
Anyone interested? We could possibly form a team! Thanks! Jennifer I am usually up weekends so if there are any events, please let me know!! |

www.coolrunning.com is one of the better places to keep track of upcoming local races.
(PS, I have no connection with the site. It is fairly well known within the running community) |

Hi Jennifer
Check this site out. The Timberman is a great event. It may be sold out, but I would keep checking. http://www.timbermantri.com/index2.html Endorfun does a great job with all of these. Good luck! Smitty |

~Gilford Old Home Day is a good 4 mile. It's at the end of August.
~Gilford Hills might be running one this summer as well. They used to run one with Patrick's but that stopped last year I believe. But there are talks of putting on another one. Concord has quite a few too. Good luck and hope to see you in the races! |

Did You Say Team Event?
The Reach the Beach is an annual 24-hour, 200 mile relay race from Franconia Notch to Hampton Beach. This year's race will take place September 12 -13. Believe it or not, the event is already sold out but volunteers are still needed and it's possible that some teams may need runners.
