Arrow new High Country t-bar at WV

https://www.newenglandskiindustry.co...hp?storyid=673 .... newly installed and running for 2018-2019 .... like, almost right now!

After 51 years of use the Waterville Valley ski area has removed their two seater, High Country chair lift and replaced it with a two person t-bar in a slightly different location off to the right of the old lift.

This is totally excellent news. That old chairlift was the slowest ski lift ever made in the world history of ski lifts, plus it was usually closed due to high winds or something.

I just wish their new t-bar lift was a high speed, rope tow which would be way better than a t-bar, because a fast, killer-diller rope tow is as much fun going up, as it is to ski down, a double play winner, going up and down ...... but still, this new t-bar looks to be a very welcome improvement ...... so, three cheers for WATERVILLE VALLEY even if it should have been done about 50 years ago ..... back in 1967-68 ...... oh well! ..... is better to be late than to be never ....... Team Sununu is rock'n and roll'n this old mountain!

No doubt about it, you need to be super rich to go skiing ..... skiing is an expensive sport! ..... have you ever heard about the Ski-93 ski areas ..... well, 93-dollars is this years Waterville Valley, age 18-64, holiday and Saturday price ..... so's Ski-93 as in Route 93 has now become Ski-$93 ..... will the State of NH be placing a dollar sign on all their highway signs to reflect this new high price ...... Ski-$93 ...... is it worth it? .....like, what else could you do with the $93 for 8-hours of Saturday lift skiing?

Back about 2011 or 2012, when Team Sununu first acquired the ski area, they tried going with ten dollar Tuesdays and Thursdays as a way to build the business, but those low prices only lasted for maybe one season. I can recall Chris Sununu saying something like 'the problem with charging just ten dollars is that what you get is a ten dollar skier.' That comment always make me laugh ..... wonder what he mean by that?
