Question Wolfeboro in January

Hi all;

My friends and I are planning on being in the Wolfeboro area the weekend of January 25th to attend the Beerfest on Ice in 19 Mile Bay. I've never been to Wolfeboro in the winter so don't know what to expect.

Can anyone tell me which restaurants/taverns will be open? Other than skiing and snowmobiling, what can you suggest for fun things to do around that side of the lake at that time? We are all in our 50s, no kids.

Thanks very much,
RP

Default What can we do that's fun

Snow shoe, X-C ski, but I'd just hang out at Jo Green's https://jogreens.net/

I'd grab my crampons and hike Roberts--beautiful hike in winter!

Default Pine Cone Cafe

Pine Cone Café is right near 19 Mile Bay and has a cozy little bar and good pizza.

Default Second The Pine Cone

Off the beaten path- Melvin village has that Old-Time Lakes Region presence from before the area was most popularly known as The Lakes Region. Quiet and serene.
The warmth of the people- Pine Cone and town- makes this stop one to revisit for its simplicity.

Default Restaurants in Wolfeboro

During the winter Garwoods, Nolan's, and Wolfe's Tavern are all good places to eat. If you travel a little farther, the new Dockside Restaurant in Alton Bay will also be open. Good place for breakfast in Wolfeboro is Lydia's just up the street from the Art Place. I usually visit Wolfeboro and Alton Bay in February for both the Peter Ferber art show and the Alton Bay Winter Carnival on Presidents' Weekend. Always find lots to do there and also visit the Moultonborough Country Store when travelling from here in Northern NJ.
