Talking 51 Mill Street rave

I visited 51 Mill St , Saturday 17 Sept. to see if they were still busy after Labor day. I was pleased to see the restaurant was very busy and the service did not suffer due to many of the severs returning to college. I had the Ahi tuna app. which was as usual excellant , for my entree I had the roasted duck special that was cinnamon dusted and served with a fresh berry sauce ( rasberry, strawberry, and wild blueberries) . Foe dessert I had the Japanese cheesecake another Donna Love home run. If you had overlooked 51 Mill St. this summer do yourself a favor and visit them this fall, talking with the owners they said they are going to stay open year round, and have already started taking holiday party reservations.

Thumbs up Ditto...

My girlfriend and I went there early this summer and it was great. Perfect weather. We sat outside by the lake. Beautiful. Also had the ahi tuna. Both our meals were great too. Highly recommend it!!

Default 51 Mill St location

Found this in a previous post.

51 Mill Street is located at 51 Mill Street, Wolfeboro, NH. To get there, go through Town center on 109 and take the first RIGHT (Mill Street) and go about 100 yards, then bear RIGHT into a large parking area serving several buildings. 51 Mill Street is the first building on the RIGHT. As a point of reference, it used to be Love's Quay, and previously Back Bay Boathouse). The dress code is relaxed, neat, clean, and behaved. Enjoy yourself.

Cool

Well Mcdude I do like this place, I've tried most of the other restaurants in the lakes area and I was taught if you can't say anything nice...... well you get my point.

Thumbs down Not so Rave review.

I have been biting my tongue on this one for a while and I finally decided to post. My wife and I visited 51 Mill St this summer and our opinion after we left was "ahhhhh it was ok I wouldn't go back."
We thought the decor inside was tired and dark. We saw no real changes/updates from the previous restaurant. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't that great either. As a matter of fact my wife's fish was covered (smothered) in undercooked onions which she had to scrape off. The place was pretty empty which should have equated to better service. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The server was pleasant she was just a tad forgetful and slow. She was not a college student she looked to be in her 40's or so. Anyway, my overall opinion was that with all of the great restaurants in the lakes region you get one shot to impress and it hardly did that. I wouldn't tell anyone never to go there, I think everyone needs to see for themselves. Opinions do vary. I'm just saying it wouldn't make my top ten suggestions.
