Default Another restaurant sold

A restaurant on the Ossipee/Wakefield line was sold at auction Friday. Was originally the Pine River Steak House then the 7 Lakes Roadhouse which just couldn't make it.

Heard the new owners are the same ones who purchased the old 51 Mill St. which now seems to be doing very well. Anyone confirm?

We do need a decent restaurant in this area so hope what I heard was true.

That would surprise me.
I finally ate at the Bayside Grille recently and I hope my experience was not the norm. I wish them well, so nuff said.

I heard the same rumor, and I heard it from an employee at one of their other restaurants. I have eaten at the Bayside and have had good experiences. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and it is entirely possible that a customer could have a not so good experience, but, personally, I have always had good meals and service at both Bayside and Pine Cone.

I agree entirely with this statement. My experiences have been very good, also.

I have had good meals there too. I just hope they aren't getting in over their heads. That is a lot to take on so soon after opening Bayside.

Agreed Tis, it is a lot to take on. I wish them well but hope they are cautious as well.

What I also heard was they got a very good price on this property, little more than half actual value. Maybe just sit on it awhile.

Uh ... no.

It is a rotten market, so what they paid is what it is worth ... today.

You are referring to what it was worth before the crash.

It might come back, but I doubt it.

All those folks hanging on by the skin of their teeth, waiting for real estate to rebound ... better brace for heavy weather.

You're right Mr V........notice all the vacant buildings along the road and empty stores in the malls? Commercial real estate is waiting to crash. Also, possibly, a second wave of foreclosures. Rough road ahead.

Ever notice how the 8400 sq ft retail space in Meredith next to the Rite Aid, Hannaford's and sports store has never been occupied since the building was constructed and available for lease in November 2008? It is now exactly two years of vacancy, and that was a brand new constructed building.

Flurries ice cream and food, directly across Route 25 is for sale again, as it was one year ago with no sale made. The space formerly occupied by the florist in the Clough House on Pleasant St is still for lease, and the commercial building up by the roundabout, across from the new, under construction Northway Bank has now been vacant and for lease since September 2009.
