Default Pier 19 store opening (cont'd)

Starting new thread per webmaster's request.

Last post from The Time Traveler.

"So Pier 19 has been operating under the new ownership for about six months now.

This is the first time that Pier 19 has actually been open during the winter in many years; has anyone heard how their business is doing?

I know they spent a huge amount of money getting up and operating so I am hoping they'll do okay so they will be serving the community for many years to come."

Talked to the owner last week. She said they're getting by. Primarily with the take-out portion of the business; lunch and dinner mostly, although I hear they make an awesome breakfast pizza. I don't know any financial details but she sounded confident. Hopefully, the snowmobile and fishing crowds will help as the winter gets rolling.

I would think putting some advertising at the launch at 19 mile bay would help them greatly with the ice fishermen. Not sure if they have done that yet. Just a sign in the snow bank is all it will take.

Ha. That would require two things. Ice for ice fisherman to fish on and a snow bank lol.
