We've seen lots of "see you next year" or "is anybody left" threads.

I'm left, because I live here. Who else?

I'm here in Alton year around and soon to be using my seasonal house on Alton Bay. I mean "on" Alton Bay, near the Gazebo. Hope to have 2 Bobhouses out there this year, so as always "Forum Members" stop in and have a hot beverage and set a spell.

Default Laconia/Gilford native

Born, raised and retired in the area. I do spend time in Breckenridge in the winter. You have to love the four seasons.

Never bored always something to do year round.

Summer resident for 30 years, then retired here 2 years ago. Love it year round, except maybe during mud season!

Default Here here and over there here

It depends on the definition of here.

West Alton is here right now and Welch is over there. After ice out the then here will be Welch the over there here will be the now here.

Default We're here and lovin' it!

This is our first winter here! We sold our Florida condo and bought a home in Gilford and are now here year-round. YIPPEEE!!! We couldn't possibly be happier! The only glitch is that husband Art had knee replacement surgery last week and has to repeat this whole surgery in late Dec. for Knee #2. But we woke up to about an inch of snow this morning -- a picture postcard! I'll keep the fireplace blazing all day long! This is really an awesome place to now be able to call HOME!

Cool Wolfebroro

As most know I am a year-round resident of Wolfeboro. Work from home for a multi-national company. Sail when there is wind. Pontoon and do watercolors when there is no wind. Love all seasons. Active with Village Players theatre and making my directorial debut in the Spring play ..."Death and Taxes." (murder mystery, comedy with audience participation, just in time for tax season)

Love working and living here all year (except for our little jaunt down to St. John U.S.V.I. in February)

3 nights a week year 'round, lakefront in M'boro. Had a great time watching the crazy waves last Sunday!

We'll put our Christmas tree on the dock this weekend. If you're going over the bridge on your way to Long Island, look to your left and you'll see it!

Hopefully only days from retiring. After years of summers at the lake I am excited to soon be a full time Laconia resident. Waking to the sound of loons and the sunrises on Paugus Bay is something I will never get tired of.

After 35 years of "coming home" on Friday night and driving back to "the other place" Sunday night, we retired in 2010, built a better house for year-round living here, and realized "the dream." Even now, if we are out on the road locally on a Sunday night, we resist the urge to shout out the window of the car to others: "We're not on the way home - we live here!"

Been around as a part-timer since the days of shag carpet and lava lamps, (of course, I was only 12 then...), but we're there as full-timers in our hearts and minds.

If your family has been continuously occupying the same cottage/home on the lake since the 1700s, you may have taken the title from mneck1814, whose family has been in the same home/cottage since 1814. See thread attached.
