Default Meredith climbing wall starts Oct 1

Life got you trying to climb the walls? Well, here's a Friday night opportunity to climb a real nice indoor 24' high by about 24' wide climbing wall at the Meredith Community Center.
........
Climbing Wall Drop In

Come climb Mount Meredith, a 24ft high climbing wall located at the Meredith Community Center.

Ages: All ages welcome.

Day: Friday Nights
(will not meet 11/12, 11/26, 12/17, 12/24, 12/31)

Dates: October 1st - February 25th

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Fee: $1 per person. Please fill out a registration form and pay the front desk attendant. Registration form may be required.
..........

Believe it has both automatic cable, spring loaded belays plus hand-held belayer on-belay traditional top rope. The upper left side of the wall has a reverse incline of maybe 30-degrees.

No snow or ice involved but this winter category seems appropriate for a climbing wall?

Should be wearing sneakers and you have the next two weeks to be working on your increasing your strength to weight ratios.

Default

Just a reminder here....tonights the nite....no doubt this thread has been the motivator for many to lose some weight, increase core strength, and improve upper body endurance. If you noticed someone practicing one-handed pull-ups by gripping the woodwork just above a door frame, then you know they caught the climbing bug.

...this sounds great. Too bad it's not going to be permanent.

And if anyone is looking to lose weight and get in the best shape of their lives, feel free to PM me. I'd love to talk to you.
