Concrete Floor Leveling Contractor
Can anyone recommend a Lakes Region concrete floor leveling contractor? My garage floor is a bit uneven and water dripping off our vehicles tends to slowly flow to the outside walls where it pools. So, I would like to have the surface leveled. Are there any contractors in this area that do this kind of work?

How far out of level is it?
I had a garage floor epoxied and it is about an inch thick. It is not the paint with flakes that you can buy at Lowes, it is a real professional job that took several days to complete. I was thinking they could vary the thickness of the coating to affect the pitch of your floor. |

I have a large one car garage where you can fit two small cars, have been looking for someone to do the same. Estimates range between 1500 to $6000. $1500 was a no show, rest are out of their minds. I am not going to pay someone that much money for pouring Levelastic https://floorezy.blogspot.com/2018/1...-compound.html. Contractors are busy now, they will lower their price once the economy slows. I will wait. Good Luck, let me know if you find someone that will not gouge you. I never knew anyone that put it on that thick? I had a floor done many years ago and it was only 1/8" to a 1/4" thick. |

Where do you want dripping/snowmelt from cars to go? Normally the concrete would be placed with a pitch either toward the door or toward one or more drains, if any.

The floor people have to degrease the floor and then etch the floor. Once the concrete is clean, they profile the garage floor by exposing the pores in the surface of the concrete for the epoxy to flow into and achieve a good bond. Dust and temperature are issues. Most epoxy paint coatings can be applied in temperatures from 55 to 90 degrees, with temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees ideal. The epoxy kits come in 1½ gallon components – 1 gallon Part A resin to ½ gallon Part B hardener. Depending on which epoxy coating system you are installing, the first coat will be a primer coat or the color base coat. There is approximately a 40 minute working window during ideal conditions. There is a window of 10 to 24 hours before applying the second coat. This is based on ideal temperatures. I used Hard Surface solutions. They did good work and I found them because of work they did for John Getty, Gettyshine. 603-393-1336 |

There's no drain, so I would like a slight pitch toward the doors.

They also dealt with the transition between the garage floor, under the door, and the pavement outside. They installed some material that looks like hot top that gave it a nice level edge and a finished look. |

My father had a yellow '16 Camaro convertible that I've always felt was the perfect combination of performance, neoclassic style, and contemporary luxuries. I could have inherited it, but having only two garage stalls meant that I'd have to keep my 4Runner outside—not a super-huge deal, but enough of an issue, added to the dirtiness from my wife's using the other side, to reduce my interest (I'd already done it once with a Ford Escape and Mustang convertible).
Fortunately, my brother, who was just building a garage and was used to parking outside, wanted it, so it stayed in the family. Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |
