Talking Meadow Brook Questions?

Is Meadow Brook accessible by boat at all?

My ticket says parking lot opens at four, entrance opens at five, and show starts at seven.

Does the opening band start at seven or the main band?

Is there a curfew there (i.e. does the band have to be offstage by a certain time)?

How much of a nightmare is it to get out of the parking lot after the show?

Thank you.

Argie and I go to several shows a year at M'brook. The parking lot isn't bad at all IF you are patient. We usually just sit back and wait for the crowd to thin out or we leave a little before the last set of a show if it's not a show we're particularly crazy about. I dunno about a curfew - shows are over by 12 as a rule - even with an encore or two.

When you arrive there's guides along the parking lot - attendants, in other words - to organize parking and to help you park. It's pretty orderly and the folks are friendly. I think you'll be fine. No worries, mate.

BTW - are you going to see Squeeze/CheapTrick this weekend?

Default Thanks!

I'm taking my daughter to Paramore on August 3rd.

I don't mind waiting for the crowd to thin out (would rather wait actually).

Do you know what time the main band goes on stage?

And is there any public place to park my boat if I wanted to go to Meadow Brook via boat?

Thanks again!!

I haven't been to Meadow Brook but my green chart shows a public dock in Sander's Bay which is right close to Meadow Brook.
Enjoy the concert.

There are no public docks. All the docks near there are private, Silver Sands Marina and Mountain View Yacht Club are very close. Fay's, Winnipesaukee YC, Gilford YC and Glendale YC are further away. The pubic docks at Glendale (near the Marina Patrol headquarters) are over a mile away and there are very few docks for non-islanders.

You might try calling Silver Sands or Mountain View.

The parking when I was there last year was handled very well, about the best I've seen in a venue that is space-challenged.

If the docks at Silver Snads or MVYC have any transient slips, that's your best bet. Not a bad walk across the street. They also have a VIP parking option that gets you to the front of the entrance, and priority departure. I was out last year in about two minutes after the Moody Blues concert.

Coming from Bear Island would be a bit of a journey, but worth it. Maybe Meadowbrook could help you out on the boat docking.

Post VIP Parking

VIP Parking is $40. You need to buy a reserved spot prior to the concert, if you are interested in doing that. The link is as follows:

Default the is a curfew

Not sure if it's ten or eleven but they do adhere to it due to the large number of complaints the town gets if they do not. Either way it is a reasonable time.
We also usually wait around have a beer and leave when the traffic thins out and it really doesn’t take long at all.
And yes there is always the designated driver!

I thought the curfew was 11 or 11:30 PM but I've heard that it is poorly enforced.

Traffic is not like Great Woods or whatever their name is today. You exit in a fairly short and easy manner. There is some waiting on the main road for those not involved with the show.

Enjoy!

I was just there for the Zac Brown Band concert. It was AWESOME. Love the band and love the venue.

Doors opened at I think 4. We got there at 5, thinking there would be opening acts. Instead waited until the concert actually started at 7. But it wasn't bad. Parking is not an issue at all. The place is tiny compared to the Comcast Center, what I'm used to.

It is located directly across from Silver Sands/MVYC. Give them a call and see if you can arrange something. Definitely within walking distance. VIP parking is not worth it. I was out of a sold out concert in 5 minutes. It's not a Sox game, that's for sure.

A bit off topic, if you like country music and haven't heard ZBB, give them a listen. Great music and they have done some amazing stuff for military overseas. At the concert, he was giving away a new CD to those that wrote a letter to a soldier.

Talking Winnipesaukee

Thanks for the input. I'm used to the Comcast Center too (or even worse, Gillette Stadium) and the Sox games are a nightmare to leave.

That's great that Meadow Brook is so easy to come and go from.

So there are no opening acts at all or for just your concert? And I figured that the main show would start at seven.

I plan to head to Gilford (from Wolfeboro) around four, stop at Patricks for a quick dinner around five, and then head into Meadow Brook around six. Am I on par with that schedule or way off?

Is Patricks totally packed before the show? I can go somewhere else if there's a long wait.

And I do like the ZBB, original and kind of funky!!

Thanks again...my daughter is getting really excited. Me too for that matter...I love checking out new venues, big or small!
