Truck through the ice - Gilford

GILFORD, N.H. —
The Gilford Fire Department said a truck sunk through the ice in Gilford near Dock Road Friday night.
Officials said it happened around 7:45 p.m. about 75 feet from shore.
The GMC 2500 tried to cross an open area and sunk. Officials said nearby dock bubblers likely weakened the ice.
Officials said the two occupants barely escaped but were unharmed, just cold and wet.
Fish and Game was notified. The two people involved will be responsible for removing the truck.
