Exclamation Proposed boating law info

Got this from Ma, who resides in Freedom.

Conduct-After-An-Accident (SB 424): A subcommittee of the House Criminal
Justice and Public Safety Committee expressed concern with a provision in SB 424 thatwould hold a person guilty of a misdemeanor "if he or she knowingly gives or causes to begiven false information to any law enforcement officer or to the Department of Safety concerning a
boating accident or alleged boating accident." Legislators on the subcommittee felt the provision did not provide enough protections to those who mistakenly provide false information. NHLA and the Department of Safety testified that the provision was consistent with current NH motor vehicle laws which have sustained multiple legal challenges. The subcommittee voted in favor of the provision and has recommended to the full committee that the bill "ought to pass."

Just thought I'd pass it along.
