It's a pretty consistent 49 degrees everywhere I was.

Cold for this time of year but the lack of sun, lots of rain, wind and generally cold air temps has kept the water from really warming up much. Usually we'd be in the mid to upper 50's by now.

Fishing was also pretty slow.

Didn't stop at least one group of die hards out there wake surfing.

Default Tough day

Out Sunday afternoon, saw temps from 49 to 58. 49 toward main lake, 58 on sunny protected rocky flat.
Saw NOTHING going on shallow.

Merrymeeting was stuck in the 40's forever, but now that we are finally getting some solar gain, it's been on the rise. Came close to hitting 60 for the first time yesterday (59.5). But cool night and winds mixed things up again. Now at 55.5 (3 feet down, under my dock)

Starting to see consistent 65+ degree temps during the day. I think today could be the day it goes above 70 for the first time this year. Albeit probably won't stay there during the cold nights.

Fortified with reports from Barney Bear and Merrymeeting, I took my first dip into Moultonboro Bay. It was great! Summer is here!

So much for my prediction abilities. Reached 69 again, then dropped with the cold. Now sitting at 64.7.

For those wondering, this is on Merrymeeting, about 3' down, under my dock. I've found over the years that my readings and those on Winni track very closely.

Did you know that July 1 is very similar to January 1 ...... all that separates is exactly six months.

Had the defroster heat on in the car this morning at 5:20-am to warm it up and clear the windshield ...... was 52-degrees outside ...... that's New Hampshire!

Exclamation Warning this PM...

Neighbors reporting Jet Ski temps 77- 79.

Severe weather warning for next seven hours.

Been watching this for several days, so there may be something to it.

Default Real time temperatures: profiles

I just wanted to point out that on the bottom of the www.beachtemp.us page you can also get lake temperature profiles form the top to the bottom of the lake, its not obvious since this tool is under development at the moment, for Winnipesaukee, see:
