Default First boat of the season?

I was on the Weirs Channel web cam today and saw a promising sight!
Hopefully the attachments come through.

Talking Cool!

Thanks for capturing the boat and sharing it with us! I bet it brought smiles to a lot of faces.

Default Gotta love it!

We bought our first boat from Thurston's last fall and are renting a slip there, so this shot really gets me revved up for the coming season!

I think the water is only open from the NWZ markers on each end of the channel.

Your right, it sure wasn't a very long boat ride! Maybe if they have an ice breaker laying around.....

I couldn't believe the timing of catching that boat out there. I just clicked on the site to see what the ice situation was. It won't be long before the "parade" starts.

Default Gettin' Ready

All I know for sure is that the winter storage cover comes off our boat this weekend. My son and I have some cosmetic work to do before it makes a trip to Dave's Motorboat Shop for some maintenance that we couldn't handle ourselves (the bellows on the stern drive need replacing). After that, our runabout will be ready for another boating season.

I'm hoping to launch it sometime after the first weekend in May, much like last year.

Must have been an in water demo from Thurston's or Channel. I'm starting to feel the need for speed!!

Last night on the way home someone from Winnisquam Marina was running a boat in the open water on Winnisquam by Mosquito bridge. Seems to be catching on!

Wait a minute, this could cause the ice to break up sooner, tainting the ICE OUT contest.
