Default Watching the Lake Cams

For those who do not know... there are a couple of ways to watch the webcams around the lake. The Lakecams page is at www.rattlesnakecam.com/lakecams.htm. This page has a live thumb nail of all the cams I could find in the lakes region.. click on the thumbnail for a larget picture and a link to the owner's website. My favorite page is the Weather Watch page at www.rattlesnakecam.com/watch.htm. This is just like the ice out page... with larger live links to the Winnipesaukee webcams and links to other types of lake information.

If you have a webcam that you would allow the public to see.. please email me at rattlesnakecam@comcast.net.

Happy Boating season!!

Exclamation WebCAM Portal & Other WebCAM News

Since you brought it up IG, I've also been working on a new WebCAM Portal. I've still got some work to do but everyone is welcome to preview it now. The nicest feature is the ability to mouse over the thumbnails and see the full size image without leaving the page. My favorite viewing method is to view the "Small Cams" and then move your mouse pointer across the thumbnails.

The Portal also archives the previous images.

I've also created categories for other NH Cams. I'll be adding more cameras to all the categories soon.

I do have a problem adding cameras that require additional software like ActiveX controls. So far I haven't been able to add those cameras to the Portal. I'll continue to work on that.

Because of the growing popularity and numbers of forum messages about the webcams I am going to create a new forum category just for webcams. You'll be able to post unusual shots, ask questions or get help setting one up. Look for that new area soon.

Here's the new Portal.

Awesome Portal!

Are you going to put titles over each image so you know what you are looking at?

Great job!

Default Getting There

Thanks Don, but I assume you want feedback? The exploded images are sometimes off the viewable screen.

Cool Don but I agree with Pineedles that the view can be off screen.

I made a small change that should help with that problem. You can now scroll up as far as you need to see the larger images.

Thumbs up GReat work

Wow that is an awesome portal. IT make the browsering so much faster and easier especially when you are at work and need to escape for a minute or two at the lake. Thank you for your hard work. I saved the portal link to my favorites

Thumbs up Three Cheers For The Webmaster!!!

Wow Don, your portal is fantastic! Thank you! You certainly spoil us.

Many thanks go to IG too, your ice-out page was great.
(I would have posted that sooner, but dial-up at the lake is tedious.)
I really enjoyed the additional daily photos from DRH and those that DBA provided too. You helped build the ice-out excitement.
