It’s almost that time of year again? You ask what time do you mean? Times up your Snowmobile Registration, your NHSA Membership and most likely your local Snowmobile Club Membership have run out. Registrations, NHSA Memberships and Club Memberships run from July first to June thirtieth each year.

Ok, I am being a little technical on this matter, but there are some Clubs that have already posted their 2006/2007 membership applications on their websites. We, the Moultonboro Snowmobile Club, are in the process of updating ours and will have it ready to mail to all of our 2005/2006 members for renewal by August first. The updated format will be posted on our website, www.MoultonboroSMC.com, and available at several location with in the Moultonboro area.

Club work never ends. There is work going on year round. The officers and directors still have monthly meetings. The one thing that most members do not see is the amount of work that is done by the Trail Master and a few other dedicated members during the “Off Season”. They are out there doing things like checking for storm damage, bridge building or repair, finding was to re-route trails and filing rheum’s of paper for trail Grants.

This may be a distant thought in your mind right now. We are all wondering when the “Lake” water level will be down to where we can enjoy some good boating days. Seasons come and go only too quickly. Are you like me, looking for a bathing suite in July and a winter coat in December?

And on an encouraging note, all the Winter weather computer models are calling for snow depths in the Moultonboro area to be the deepest in one hundred years!
