Default Best Local Apple Products ??

Would love some suggestions for this.
We saw Stone Brook Hill Farm, but their website doesn't say anything about being chemical free, so we are guessing they are spraying the trees with who knows what.
Thank you !

Is there really not one single sustainable (whether certified organic or not) orchard in the entire area ???

Take a short drive over to Cornish/Hiram, ME

The farm is also undergoing a transition to holistic, rather than IPM conventional management, using biodynamic spray materials, compost and green manures to improve the health of the land. We will be acquiring our official organic certification in 2019, but for now the apples are managed using only organically certified materials (it takes 3 years of a repeated process to achieve certification).

I’m not sure you’re going to find anything in the Lakes Region where you obviously are looking because you’re asking on the Winnepesaukee Forum.
It’s hard for a farmer to grow organic apples in New England because of the weather issues and pest problems that have to be dealt with.

The only place I know is quite a bit up north. It’s called Lost Nation Orchard. They are in Groveton, New Hampshire.

I don’t know how to put a website up here so I will have to tell you.

herbsandapples.com/orchard.
