Default OPEN HOUSE - Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club

Saturday plans!
Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club Open House at Fernald Station this Saturday August 21 10AM-2PM.

Free admission includes:
meeting members to learn about CVRTC, railroad preservation & the railroad motorcar hobby
touring the restored former Wolfeboro Railroad engine house, train station, and working railroad maintenance equipment
free rides in member owned railroad motorcars on a section of the former Wolfeboro Railroad.

Light refreshments provided and apparel for sale.

CVRTC, a non-profit, currently maintains 17 miles of rail owned by the State of New Hampshire.

We have bicycled the trail several times, nice ride. And once we had a group of several motorcars ride by having a great time. The bike trail alternates between the tracks and along side the tracks. A fantastic dual use.

I went to one of their open houses a few years ago, it's a pretty neat setup, it was the first and only time I ever rode in one of those. The gentlemen I spoke to also said they maintain and ride part of the old Conway Branch from route 28 up route 16 where the Pizza Barn is.
