Bats eat lots and lots of skeeters! They are your friends

Default Holy boathouse Batman!

Brightwaters:

I asked the same question a few weeks ago on an earlier post. As always the members gave me

lots of fun and cool advice. So here goes.

I fixed my bat problem in one night! On the advice of a member I bought a rodent repeller. It is a little electronic gizmo about the size of a chestnut. It is 120 volt and cost about eight bucks at aubuchons. It worked great, I sealed up the hole and my little friends are out of the house.

Next I decided to go condo and place bat houses around my property. Think of them as little McMansions for furry ratbirds. They, however, cost about 15 bucks! So I bought one as a sample/template and tomorrow when I start my vacation, I go into the rodent housing industry!

Good Luck!

Default Free Bathouses

We have a serious skeeter problem at my boat club in Lowell. ( Lowell, a boat club, could it be the Lowell Motor Boat Club?)

Anyway our Commodore, among other things, is a Scout leader. He says that when scouting season begins again (off for the summer for baseball, etc.) that he is going to ask them to build a bunch of Bat Houses as a merit badge project!

Just a thought for anyone who's son or daughter is a scout and who might have a problem with bats or skeeters!

Better than having Boats in your Bathouse.
