Default Dock Canopies

Who do you recommend for dock canopies? I need 2 14'x30' seasonal canopies made for a permanent dock on an island. I was told that Image Awning in Wolfeboro is good. I almost had a heart attack when I got the quote though...Any others?

We're putting a canopy over our deck this season and came across this place (below). Haven't dealt with them yet and so can't say anything about them or their products. If you're handy and/or cheap* (like me) they may be worth a look.

ps - Out of curiousity what was the $$ quoted for your canopy ? (if you don't mind)

pps - *cheap, hmmm, what a poor connotation that has. How about frugal ? Yeah, I like frugal ! Has a nice Yankee, smart thinking sense to it. Yup ... handy and/or frugal .... much better !

They run on average $15.00 per square foot, basically $6300 per canopy. Cough, cough...

I am still looking for information on this, if anyone has any insight please share. With the number of canopies on the lake someone must be able to point me in the right direction.

Default Wolfeboro

Try Image Awnings in Wolfeboro. They do custom work.

They are the only one that I have found so far, it seemed rather expensive. $13k+ for two canopies, enough to cover two slips.

Default Dock canopies

Do you need the whole system - framework and cloth canopy ? Don't forget, you are on an island and that may be part of the cost. I have had work done by Image Awnings and found them to be very good. They have nice people working for them and do excellent work. What else may be in the estimate price - installation and removal and storage ? I can recommend Image from personal experience.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

I do need frame and all. He was great to talk to and explained everything quite well. Unless I can find a better deal elsewhere in the near future I will probably go with them. It just seems like a lot of $$$ for metal tubing and canvas...Probably a small price to pay though for protection, the pile of pine needles alone that were taken out of my (covered) boats this fall would blow your mind...
