Hello All,
I am looking to see if there is a GPS Boating APP available for my cell phone for boating on Winnipesaukee?

Check out the Navionics app.
That’s the one most use on smart phones. I have the U.S. & Canada version.

Mine says 9.0.1....looks like I need an upgrade. Great tool to use as an aid at night. Daytime is a little difficult to see on the device but I only use it when I'm going across the lake in the evening.

When I’m on the lake I have my Garmin running but the Navionics on my smart phone is great for backup and ice fishing!

Which do you prefer, the Garmin or Navionics?
I have been told Garmin uses a different system than most.

The Garmin in my boat is not a handheld unit but installed as my GPS/fishfinder
And yes it uses the “Lakeview” chip I believe it’s called.
I really like the Garmin and like I said I only use Navionics on my iPhone for ice fishing and general info on other lakes and ponds.

I used to use Navonics, but as said daytime, it was a bit tough to read. I upgraded to a real 7in screen Garmin chart plotter with the Lake HD chip, never went back to the phone.
