Default Down Riggers

I would like to do some spring fishing and need a couple down riggers. Any suggestions on what brand, electric or manual, new or used, any info would help.

Default Downriggers

You really don't need downriggers for spring fishing since the fish are near the surface that time of year. I use a basic long leader/leadcore setup in the spring and rarely have more than 2 colors out. However, if you want an opinion on Downriggers, I like my Cannon Mag10 on a swivel base very much. Electric, if you can afford it, is definitely the way to go -- especially if you often fish alone as I do. Check the achives on the Fishlakewinni.com board, there's lots of info on downriggers there.
