New Endicott wreck shots
Have a new side-scan-sonar unit but also run the Humminbird SSS at the same time for other purposes, mostly depth checks because the transducer is hull mounted and gives me (some) advance warning of impending "terrain issues" that helps me avoid crashing the towfishbehind the boat into the bottom. This is a true commercial towed Edgetech Model 4125 unit that can run simultaneous 400/900 khz frequencies.
Large shadow from bow in one of the images. Unknown object as well in one of them. Looks like an inflatable that is no longer inflated. Still practicing and getting used to it. It is a handful to learn to run just right but what it can do is amazing. The shots were easy because the Endicott is both shallow and very big and made a good practice target. More to come. Found some new wrecks I need to dive. |
