Default Early Swimmers

My grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, went for a quick dip today, March 23. The previous family record was held by my son, (their father) on April 7, 1991.

Default Be Careful

The water is still way too cold, 80 degrees outside or not. You can get hypothermia on an 80 degree day just as quick as you would if you fell thru the ice in 20 degree weather. I'd wait till at least early to mid May before going in the water.

Wow! I went in the water with waders on to install my dock stairs for my dog. Just putting my hands in the water to move a couple rocks for a few seconds brought instant pain!! I can't imagine swimming!!

More power to them!
