Things like this come with our states growing population. It will get worse and worse as the number of people who live in New Hampshire increases.

Probably more to do with the state of the economy than the number of folks living in New Hampshire.

Crime, drugs, murder, et. al. will eventually find the LR.

....say hey....last Thursday & Friday's Laconia Citizen, newstand edition, had a pull-out advertising coupon for the Tanger Outlet Mall that included about 25-different stores which were all offering a 20% discount on any one item purchased. If dem guys was smart, they maybe took advantage of that 20% off coupon before they smashed up the Kay's jewelry store down at the mall there...coupons are some good deals..."say hey....Whitey.....we need to stop at that Rue-21 store to get some better halloween masks before we pull this one off.....we need some masks with screaming attitude that look like 'The Scream'....yeah!"

New Hampshire, in general, has seen a reduction in "Capital Crimes" in the 50 years covering 1960 to 2010. But a dramatic increase in "Property Crimes".

You can lookup various citiy, town,or county here. (Not as detailed)

Thanks for the correction SteveA. Murder has gone down over the past 10 years, but violent crimes are up.

IF this was the actions of Professional thieves , then this isn't the type of crime that one see as a result of the economy, or as a result of population increase. Professional thieves case their target, understand how long it will take authorities to respond, and strike at the most opportune time. Things like watching the clock indicate that they 3 knew what they where doing, how long they wanted to take and precisely what there escape route was....

Now what kind of crimes do you see as the result of the economy and increasing population... You see unplanned poorly executed robberies, usually resulting in injuries either to the victims or the robbers, as their uncalculated actions lead to unwanted incidents. You also see the robbers rushing because they don't know what they are doing.

This incident was probably planned out over the course of a couple of weeks... And executed at a time where the robbers knew, traffic would be high to slow responding law enforcement down.

Now matter where you live you always have to expect professional thieves.....

total pro's not much chance of these guys getting caught - in and out in 2 minutes, no one hurt - well planned out and executed.

these guys are not a problem of population or the economy - this crew does this for a living. not much chance of them coming up to do an average b and e, purse snatch or rob the corner store - so no worrys there. thats not to say the people in the store didnt have 2 very terrifying minutes.
