I don't have a pic of the Toon handy so I'll post the one I built. I finished the kayak last summer and it's been a pleasure to paddle.

'06 Bayliner 215BR. Not fancy but reliable. With the 5.0 Merc it's plenty responsive. Most importantly it gets us out on the lake for fun and relaxation.

It handles the chop OK but I was thinking I may want to step up to a Ford Class. I think the 1120' length and 134' beam will give a little nicer ride.

No I moor it out front, really these things are cheap to buy via Government surplus auction and are fantastic for camp defense.

Default My first boat!

I bought her in 2005 for $1,200, replaced the starter, fuel lines and put in new seats. I drove her for ten great years and sold in 2015 for
$1,000. Considering what I pay to boat now with my new rig (see post #6), I kinda miss her, err not really! 1976 model she could cruise at 30 MPH on smooth water but pounded like heck in the chop! No power tilt and trim here, if you want to tilt the engine up or down you used your shoulder, LOL!

Hey, "Day Tripper" was the name of our Family's Second boat...a Century 4500! It is technically "DT2" the name of our current boat, the Crown-Line. I remeber on the Century, my Dad had a looped cassette tape of that song...he played constantly as we went along...good times!

Thanks for Keeping the name alive!

Default 1994 Sea Ray 220BR Signature Select

Just about ready to go. I spent all day cleaning and polishing gel coat, vinyl, and glass. I have a couple cushions into Shorline Marine Upholstery. The stereo needs to be checked out (speakers cutting out) and the automatic halon fire suppression needs to be recharged.

My wife a huge Beatles fan so I had little input on the name (which I do love of course) but I'll pass it along to the boss.

That is adorable and much safer for young children. They will have so much fun on the lake with that pontoon boat.

Tiller.

Just bought a battery to juice the nav lights, but the nearest it will get
to a night trip is a late sunset trip. I doubt it will EVER get out of Moultonborough Bay.

Yup. We're just around the corner near the entrance to Buzzell Cove.
Thank you and GBG for the "cute". That's the adjective everyone seems to use when checking out the Sleek Red Beauty.

Are those 200 Merc Verados? I think I saw your boat at their docks last Thursday when my wife and I rented a bow rider from them for the afternoon. My wife and I were admiring a toon just like yours at the dock. Very nice!

I think that boat had dealer boat registration on it. Numbers were affixed to a piece of white plexiglass not the boat but it did look nice with those twin 200 and boarding ladder on the middle toon!
