Default Big Laker off Bear Island

Found this a while back, also on side-scan-sonar. Filmed with an ROV.

Deep at about 104 feet; Huge cusk on the railing, biggest one I have have seen in Winnipesaukee, and I've seen many.

I estimate the wreck length at about 30 feet, and the cusk at at least 3 feet long. Wreck appears to have been stripped and scuttled with only the engine remaining.

As with the pick-up truck ROV video to follow, images are shaky due to sporadic loss of power to the ROV which caused the robot to stop then start again.

I can not even to begin to imagine what it would be like to meet face to face... at the bottom of the lake... with any fish that size.

Yet again, nice pics and thanks for sharing.

We saw one that big in the Curtis Point wreck also. They seem to like the wrecks.

8gv, in post 1, he said it was a cusk, about 3 ft long. Must have missed it. Part of the paragraph about the length of the lake.

Where is Curtis Point? I'm surprised I don't know about this wreck.
Thanks.
