Wife and I were just talking about that last night...we were both at work...me at Seacoast VW, watching the events unfold on the waiting room tv. Hard to believe so much time has passed!

May God bless our fellow citizens who suffered so horribly in NY, PA, and DC. May they rest in eternal peace and we all should NEVER FORGET what happened on that day. Such a horrible day that will be in my mind forever. Yes, i remember exactly where I was when this happened.

On 9/23 forum members organized the "Flotilla of Flags", a patriotic parade of over 100 boats displaying the flag. If you search the old forum you'll find many posts following 9/11. Unfortunately almost all the photo sources no longer exist and there are only a few surviving pictures in the photo gallery (search Flotilla).

It was a severe clear day and I marveled at the spectacular view of the twin towers that morning from the center of the Throgs Neck Bridge which I took to work on Long Island every day. I never made it home that night.

2 mornings later, that same vantage point provided a view of the smoldering rubble and the smoke that was blowing in my direction filling my lungs with an acrid burning smell.

Forget?....it would not be possible to ever forget that heinous cowardly act that took the lives of so many of our fellow countrymen.

I just wish we could recapture that spirit of unity, civility and patriotism we all experienced in the following weeks and months instead of the rabid individualism and lack of respect that is dividing our country today!!

I was on a freight train when Russ on D-3 started clearing up foul time & line 4’s fast!
He came over answering someone on the radio “they are evacuating all high rises in Boston”
I was with the doughboy and we just looked at each other and “what did he say”?
It was not until much later we passed a track gang and found out what happened.
Never saw video until 4 pm-ish at the hotel.
What was even wilder was after 911 when they put red,yellow,green color system as a threat alert.
The night it 1st went up to Amber, with a load of nuke waste…hotter than hell!
Blue lights at every xing… and nothing in front of us!

The day before I drove back from LI and saw the towers as I headed north. A day later I was at work, planning some travel for sales, when one of my co-workers told me something had happened. No access to TV so we followed as best we could until I got home later. Calls came in from everywhere, people asking what other people knew about the situation, etc. I remember calling a few people to tell them that no way I'd be flying anywhere until things were figured out, then of course everything was grounded anyway.

Yes Denis, I agree. There was a feeling that we were all together then that is hard to imagine happening now.

Two Americans, in particular, failed to see the implications of their enforcement policy and inaction. Books have already disclosed who they are, and In the interest of decorum, only one title is listed here:

Dereliction of Duty

The second scoundrel not only caused critical details to be withheld from the captured laptop computer belonging to the "twentieth hijacker", but created the US' Housing Crisis of 2007!

It even gets worse than that.

Anyway, we're unlikely to be attacked again, as the numbers of people needed for such terrorist actions haven't presented themselves.
