Resurface Teflon Griddle

Is anyone able to resurface/recoat a JennAir griddle insert? If not, do you know anyone you can recommend?

The griddle is no longer available from JennAir and I haven't been able to find a replacement.

eBay has these, new and used, as a replacement item for about $50 plus shipping.

I just did a Google search on Jenn aire and came up with several sources for replacement parts, including griddles. You might try that. Good luck!

Before I posted, I went on Jenn Air's website and learned that they no longer manufacture or can provide this part. The Jenn Air island insert we have is about 25 years old.

I went on EBay and found a possible replacement. However, the pictures did not show the location of the insertion plug. I contacted the seller to ask for more info, but he never responded to my inquiry.

I also went to the Baron's Appliance store. A nice salesperson checked online for me, but could not find the part.

I'll keep looking, but the alternative is to have the griddle resurfaced/recoated.

Insertion plug? We've had two Jenn Air stoves. The griddle just rests on top of the heating elements. I don't recall ever using the griddle after the first few weeks of ownership. Love my cast iron fry pan, but it took some time to get it properly seasoned. Might get rid of our griddle top but it's mostly a flat piece of iron, no "insertion plugs".

I agree re: griddle. It was a “neat” thing to have but never worked as well as a cast iron pan. Heat was in even.
