Help for a new fisherman

Hi,
I just moved to Moultonboro this past October and was hoping to start fishing. As I've never fished before, was hoping on getting some basic questions answered.

Where can I buy a seasonal fishing license?
Where would be a good place to get started off of Moultonboro neck, my house is walking distance to Trexlers, as I have no boat yet?
Where in the area should I buy my equipment from, and ask for advice?
When can I start?
