Bet the owner of that Black on White bowrider cringed a bit as the wing swept over his Bimini.

My dad owned a small plane based out of Beverly,MA. He and his pilot friends were always flying off on Saturday mornings to some airport in Maine, NH, Vermont, NY, Western,MA, RI, etc that had a good breakfast restaurant. This takes that idea to a whole new level.

How many remember when there was a scenic seaplane service that flew out of that location? and they sold some sort of igloo type buildings there as well. Before BayPoint came in with the bank.

If I remember correctly it was red and there was a gas station on the corner.

The "igloo" was supposed to be some sort sales model for a building of the future where it was a wire frame sprayed with foam. Late 60s, maybe early mid 70s. Don't think the idea took off. |

That was before my time coming to the lakes. I didn't discover the Lakes region until the early to mid 70's and I don't remember seeing that.
