Default D-Day Invasion, June 6, 1944

Today marks the 71st anniversary of the D-Day invasion. May the hero's who lost their lives, were tragically wounded, or were lucky to survive those great battles in France on D-Day 71 years ago rest in the knowledge that they made their sacrifices to keep the world free. We shall NEVER FORGET these hero's !!!!!

So true....and so sad that today's generation has no historical knowledge of our past and the sacrifices made to protect our freedom. The allied forces saved the world from tyranny and lost 9,000 brave men in just the first 24 hours of the Normandy invasion. In our lifetime, we may have to fight again on a large scale to defeat a new enemy....do we have the fortitude?

i guess thats still up in the air, but i must say that the last generation of warriors that we sent to battle did a great job and made our nation proud.

We cant take anything away from a man or woman who stands up to fight to protect our way of life.....from the revolutionary war, to fighting isis and radical fundalmentalists right here on our own soil!! God bless the red, white and blue, and r.i.p. To every single person who died in the defense of this great nation!!
