Default 3 Men Charged With Illegally Selling Fish

WMUR

CONCORD, N.H. -- Three men have been arraigned in federal court in New Hampshire on charges of conspiring and illegally selling freshwater fish.

Richard Webster, of Rutland, Vt., and Ronald and Garth Martel, both of Whitehall, N.Y., were arraigned Tuesday. The charges allege that during the past ice-fishing season, the three developed a conspiracy and took part in the illegal commercialization of freshwater fish from New Hampshire and Vermont waters, then sold the fish in New York.

The investigation is a collaborative effort of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
