Default Contractor Referrals

I know that this question has been asked over the last several years. Does anyone have suggestions for contractors. We are building in Moultonborough and have completed our design phase. The home will be a timberframe/hybrid home with 3 bedrooms. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks everyone

Default Design

Did you design yourself using an Architecture or found plans on-line, magazine? We are in the same process and debating which way to go. Thanks for any info.

Default Timberframe / hybrid

I recently saw photos of some exceptional work by a local Meredith builder, which was also a Timerframe/Hybrid project. Blueprint Blue Builders. The guy's name is Steve at 630-7775.

We ended up doing both, we did alot of research on line and with magazines. We were always close to a great deal of the plans but we thought it would be a good idea to bring in a professional. This is obviously one of the biggest investments that we have ever made and we want to make sure we do all the correct things, so we hired an architect in the end. I think that the work we did up front really helped us with the architect and kept his fees down.

What area of Moltonboro? I'm just curious.

I know Fenton Varney has an excellent reputation for quality in that general area.

Good luck

Default Tradesmen Builders

Newbie,

You may remember that we spoke on the phone. We are in the process of building a timber frame home in Meredith and are using Tradesmen Builders of Laconia (603-524-5357). I couldn't be happier. Larry and Rich are extremely knowledgeable and helpful on all fronts and the work they, their framers, and their subs do is unmatched. In fact, I got their name from this website after I asked your same question.

I would say that we are about a third of the way through the project and the quality of their work has really been first class. Also, it may not seem like a lot, but the little things, like a neat jobsite, timeliness, great customer service and overall thoroughness is just so refreshing, especially when trying to manage a project from afar.

You will not be disappointed.

Default Great contractor

Contractor, Scott Compton, is just finishing a project for me and he has done a great job. I haven't had any issues with him or his work. He is exceptionally neat and has been great with suggestions. His phone number is:603-279-1029.

Good Luck!

I second the recommendation for Scott. He built my camp and we are very pleased with the results.
