Island septic costs?
Looking for what it should generally run for septic..on a small island...no blasting, room for a small excavator to get to the site. The plan is for an envirofin system. Any ballparks anyone can give including barge services? Thanks!

Just had a neighbor put a new one in. Don’t know if it was an envirofin. The tank alone cost about 8k. Estimate (I think) was about $25 - 30k including barge services but, they had to track sand for the field about 300 ft back up a steep grade using a bobcat. Also had a medium size cat excavator doing the digging.
Once you have an approved design a contractor can provide a cost estimate. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

We have 2 quotes to do ours, a simple gravity fed 2 bedroom system at $20k. I will say a 3rd contractor came in at $36k for the same job, but that clearly was a "toss it at the wall and see if it sticks" kind of quote. If someone was to pay that crazy high price they would certainly do it.
