Thumbs up Good Work Don

I wanted to recognize the hard work of our Moderator and site jack of all trades, Don.

I am sure there are many days that you wonder if it is worth the aggravation (and dealing with our foolishness at times)

Thank you for all you do, it is truly appreciated!!

Mostly. It's been a busy 24 hours and I was up until 3 am getting everything settled down. The site is on the new server now and is running very fast. Everyone should notice a BIG improvement.

Thanks for everyone's patience for the last month or so as I decided on the best solution and prepared for yesterday's move.

Default You could be in trouble Don.

It appears that in cruising Winnipesaukee (.com) on the new server, I am undoubtably exceeding the 25 MPH (megabytes per hour) evening speed limit, and probably the 45 MPH daytime limit. Fortunately for me, I tend to keep a low profile, and stay beneath the radar.

Great job on the greatest site on the web.

Dave

I sorta miss my time reading War and Peace waiting for the site to boot up. Seriously, the new version is a marked improvement and no glitches in the turnover. Thank you.

Think of how much more productive we can all be to society with the savings in time. Or better yet, we can use that tie to check back more often.

Question Much faster & question

The site is much faster and wonderful. I have a question though, I was wondering if a "New Post" button could be put at the bottom of the page? When I am gone from the site for awhile, I have so much to catch up with that I am forever having to scroll back to the top when I finish reading what has been written to click "New Posts" again. Just wondering?

The "New Thread" and "Post Reply" buttons are at the top and bottom of each page.

Ditto to Don for all the hard work on keeping this site running smoothly.

ILW, have you tried displaying newest posts first (UserCP/Options), I find this saves a lot of scrolling.
