Default Broken Antler

Is the Broken Antler closed for good? The last several times we've been by they've been closed.

Default Broken Antler

Another favorite watering hole. I know they close for a vacation during the winter. I'm going to check it out this weekend. With all the kids on vacation, I'm not sure if it will be worth skiing.

Unhappy Bought out.

The Broken Antler is no more. It was recently purchased by "The Boot Hill Saloon" a famous Biker Bar in Ormond Beach, FL with a location in Sturgis as well. There was an article last week - if I can locate it I'll post a link. They intended to be open this week, but I'm unsure if that has happened. If I get a moment, I'll drive up there and scope it out and report back.

Sad news. The Broken Antler was a favorite of ours too. For those of us who spent enough time there to earn an engraved mug, is there any way to claim them? we would love to have ours at home, if for nothing more than a reminder of our favorite bar. My husband's original mug was a casualty of the fire a couple of years ago. He was bummed out back then before he found out that they were going to rebuild. This news will hit hard...but having the mug back would certainly put a smile on his face.

Tis the season for giving and a local business has decided to do just that.

Carol Perl, who owns the Broken Antler restaurant and lounge at 7 Main Street, said she is giving customers the engraved pewterlike mugs the establishment originally awarded as part of a beer drinking promotion.

"It's a way to give back to the community," said Perl as she worked to stack a collection of more than 100 of the 16-ounce handled mugs in front of a Christmas tree in the 51-seat restaurant.

The original mugs were destroyed in the fire, but Carol said, she's kept the records on her home computer and was able to order replacements.

Default They are open

Shortly after selling the Weirs location to The Boot Hill Saloon, "The Antler" reopened on Main Street in Meredith.

I know the Broken Spoke is for sale but I have heard that The Boot Hill Saloon is for sale as well. Any truth to that rumor?
