Default 9/3 Zac Brown Band @ Meadowbrook

We could've got last-minute tickets but we're teachers running on fumes until our first checks and had to pass and I felt fine about that because it would be cool to chill tonight before heading home and starting school Tuesday but then I realized the band might do something awesome for their "Labor Day Weekend Show" in memory of Jimmy Buffett and now I'm sad we didn't go.

Soooooooo, if anyone is going tonight please let me know how it was!

Think, My daughter and friend just left for the concert. Her daughter (yes my adult granddaughter) gave them tickets as a Christmas present last Dec. They are staying at our house in West Alton. Will ask her tomorrow how it was.

Interesting—I thought it might be more extravagant than that and include "Come Monday" given the Labor Day weekend show piece.

Thanks for reporting back—I hope she had a great time!

*Edited to add: I didn't know ZBB also played Saturday night, where they performed "Margaritaville."

Default ZBB concert

Sorry you were not able to attend. It was outstanding in all ways. Several Buffet songs, yes, including Cheeseburger and Margaritaville. And some fun songs like their version of Bohemian Rhapsody and Devil Went Down to Georgia and some others. And a bunch of their hits - great combination of songs overall. And at the end they each had a song they sang lead on - and the songs were all ones most people know (All My Exes Live in Texas, Family Tradition, to name only a few). Probably the best concert I’ve seen here in Gilford.

Yeah, it sounds like it was a great one.

*sigh* I'll have to budget better next summer!

Default Zbb

We had the good fortune of seeing the Zac Brown Band sans Zac Brown at the Laconia Opera House on Friday night. Very moving performance. It was a fundraiser for John Driscoll Hopkins charity Hop on a Cure. He has ALS, and can still perform well. The first set included songs that he wrote since his diagnosis. Very powerful stuff. The second set features some well known standards. Overall, an awesome evening!
