Default entertainment

Looking for entertainer for Starting Patricks Day at local Senior Center. Looking for individual or group available to entertain seniors in March for one hour performance . Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forum.
It would help to know where your senior center is, and if you are looking for a volunteer or have a budget. Did autocorrect change "St. Patrick's Day" to "Starting Patrick's Day"? In other words, are you specifically looking for Irish theme on that very day? Tougher to do.

Our local library routinely has evening programs, historic person impersonators and the like. They had a bagpiper once who played and gave a Scottish history presentation. In some areas there are local storytelling clubs. Nursing homes do these types of programs and the activities director may have suggestions, or you may be able to schedule a twofer and save some $$. Is there a local pub doing SPD entertainment so you could hire the same entertainment for an afternoon gig?

Our Senior Center is in Wolfeboro and although we are a nonprofit we do have a budget to go by. The bagpiper is a great suggestion but also didn't know if anyone has some contacts locally.

Default Find a piper

I think the folks at the NH School Of Scottish Arts know every piper in NH, and most of NE. http://nhssa.org
