Default Congratulations

That is the dream that many of us have. Enjoy it!!! I took the month of August off and was at the lake house the entire time. It was really wonderful boating on weekdays. Best wishes to you.

Default I highly recommend it!

Congratulations! After leaving Verizon 9 years ago, I can highly recommend retirement. I must disagree slightly with Rusty, though. Retirement means 6 days a week are Saturdays, but you know it's Sunday because the comics are in color.

A month earlier than I expected. Having you at the lake all summer will be fabulous. I can't wait for the " Dock Hop".

After 40 years in New Haven, you're definitely entitled to whole summers...and then some...on the Lake!

I sent a c&p of your post to my son, Yale '2001 (now Brooklyn), as inspiration for when the time comes.

Congratulations and enjoy your new found time. I have awhile to go yet which is why I bought something I can live aboard the commute will be longer but driving to work I'll be dreaming of that evening on the lake and hitting exit 21 tells me almost home.

Here it is:

Get a magic marker so when you get up in the morning you can scratch off yesterday, lest you will never know what day it is. Don't even ask how I know this.

Congrats on the retirement and joining the rest of us retirees in trying to keep track of the day!!
