I can’t say who has the best prime rib since I haven’t tried many places, but two weeks ago I had the $20 prime rib weekly special at Back Bay Boathouse in Wolfeboro and it was excellent.

I am going to vote that mine is! I cooked this 12 pound boneless on Thanksgiving. Super easy method and it comes out perfect each time.

Not to hijack, but speaking of a "super easy method and it comes out perfect each time," my son cooked the Thanksgiving turkey in his Instapot this year.
Took 47 minutes for the breast to be done, and it came out flavorful and juicy, so much so that my wife went out and bought an Instapot for us to use.

Cook 5 minutes per lb at 500 degrees, shut off when time is up and don't open the oven for 2 hours. Before cooking it gets rubbed/coated in a rosemary/garlic/thyme butter that I make from a recipe. Some of that chars on, the rest turns into drippings which make a killer au jus. |

Lets keep it rolling - looks good enough I'm copying.
Would you consider sharing the rub recipe? Thanks! |

If your a Sam’s Club member they have USDA Prime rib roast that are fantastic! They fully trim and tie them up really nice ready for the rotisserie! Our last one was an 18 liber! We usually rotisserie two per year. One on July 4th and one on New Year’s Eve! So good!!!
For a seasoning we use “My Family Seasoning” for rib roasts. We love it! Dan

1 cup butter 7 minced garlic cloves 3tbsp fresh chopped rosemary 1tbsp fresh chopped thyme 2tbsp salt 1tbsp black pepper Mix it up and rub it on all sides before cooking. Depending on the size of the roast you may want to double this. Here’s the link to my not so secret method: https://www.kj.com/blog/prime-rib-ro...lic-butter-rub |

Big Dog, we continue to be impressed with the quality, value and flavor of the prime rib at the VK. It's consistently delicious, portions are huge and we have yet to have a bad cut....one problem, available on Saturdays only and while supplies lasts.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holiday! |
