Default Uploading .png file

I've been trying to upload some Modis satellite photos that are .png files for a couple of weeks. Using an IPad to accomplish this. Always seemed to work before. Has anything changed?

If you attach a png file it will change the size automatically so that it can be uploaded. At least that's what it did for me when I just did a test reply.
