Default Clearing the "New Posts" Queue

I just completed a two week hiatus from visiting these forums (necessitated by an all hands family vacation at the lake) and am eager to get back into my normal routine/ritual of looking at all of the "New Posts" each day (ie the posts that I haven't seen since my last visit). This morning when I tapped on the "New Posts" button 91 posts came up. I really don't want to have to go into each of the 91 posts in order to get it off of my new posts list and thus am wondering whether there is some way to easily clear/reset this queue?

Right now there is no way to do that. There is a plugin that adds "Clear Posts" to the New Posts menu. I'll install it this weekend and update this thread when it's available.

Default I had a similar problem...

... and I have Tapatalk on my tablet. I went into each "category", looked at the threads in each category (General Discussion, boating, etc.), read the ones I wanted to read, and then clicked on mark forums read. It marked each unread thread in that category as read. This gave me the best of both worlds...I got to read the threads of interest to me, and get rid of those en-mass of those of no interest.

Of course if you don't have Tapatalk, all this is of no use.

Thanks for catching that (I didn't write this software). I'll still install the plugin since it may provide a quicker way to do it.

Click Quick Links on the top menu bar, then click Mark Forums Read.

That's what works for me.
