Default Sheafe House?

I have been meaning to post this question all summer, but somehow never got to it. Apparently I missed the news report on what happened to the Sheafe House that was moved to the lot behind the Heath Supermarket on Bean Road. I know that there was pressure put on the organization that moved the building to that lot to secure the building which had become somewhat of an attractive nuisance.

Could someone clue me in?

Thanks.

Ultimately torn down and hauled off. Shame really that a deal couldn't be worked out.

Default lots of old stories...

...in the Citizen if you use their search function. Here's the story the day it was taken down: http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll...WS02/710228412

I watched them move those buildings piece by piece from the church property and hoped they would care for them and make them into something useful. Instead I drove by them every day for more than 10 years watching them become a bigger eyesore and a bigger potential for danger. I was thrilled to finally see it come down.

Thank you TwoPlusTwo. I did miss this story and appreciate your direction to the Citizen article.

Not only do I remember when the building was moved to its final site, I also recall shopping in the building when it was located next to the church. I think it was occupied by an antique store and a jewelry store known as Dybros Jewelry. As I recall, there was a sign on the top of the building which rotated with Dybros's sign.

As that old song said "...put up a parking lot..."
