Default Another Monday...

Great stretch of weather! Based on the early morning, looks like another great day in paradise!

Thanks for posting.
Fabulous picture. Preview of the sunset?

I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic.

Yes another great day today but it is hot! Ride to Wolfeboro soon for an early dinner then a sunset ride home back to Welch! All is good!!

Can't believe the water is still in the low 70's at this time of year either. Crazy!

What's the old saying ... "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning ..."

The water got warmer from last week but colder air is coming in this weekend.

Sitting out on the deck after sunset felt like July. 76 degrees at 8pm, calm water and a crescent moon to add a shimmer to the wavelets. How good does it get?

Yes but the sky was also red this evening, "Red sky at night sailors delight"

Hence morning warning cancelled!

I swam in the lake today. I don't like cold water. It wasn't cold.

September 25th.

I swam too after taking the boat out to get gas. It was hot and the lake felt the best it has all summer (fall?).

Default Sunset Ride

Here's last nights sunset ride home to Welch after dinner in Wolfeboro. The picture just does not do it justice! Best ride of the year with good friends!

Spent a few hours out today and what a day it was!
Very flat and calm with most of the ripples coming from other boat traffic which was low. Just a beautiful time of year!

It was 100° in my classroom today. I get that I'm lucky to do a job that is rewarding and has great benefits, but I'm still leaning towards keying all y'alls boats. I hope your ice melts quickly and waters down your mint juleps.

Water temp yesterday over 100' of water was 73 degrees! It should cool off quick with the cooler weather starting tomorrow!

It was fun while it lasted though!!

Tuesday I had a list of eight things to do. Some of those items included phone calls that would likely have long waiting on hold.

I did exactly ZERO items on the list and went fishing instead.

After seeing all these great pictures, we figured we'd make the 90-minute trek up to the lake to enjoy the broads for a few hours last night. Can't tell you how thankful we are that we did. It was probably the nicest evening we've had on the lake this year! We were literally one of only a few boats up there.

It was a great day indeed! Like mid-July on the lake with almost no one there. We were out from about 11 to 4 with an hour or so for lunch and a snooze in Blackey Cove. We waved to the few boats we saw and there weren't many. Couldn't have been better, and it's not over yet!
