Favorite Restaurants by Boat
We live on Barndoor Island and usually try to go out to eat where we can take our boat and walk to the restaurant. Being right outside Wolfeboro we have our obvious favorites there.
Anyway, thought we could start a list of favorites that you can go to by boat - no car necessary - public docking a must (or private docking supplied by the restaurant for its customers). Here are mine: Wolfeboro: Mis en Place, Garwoods, The Restaurant, El Centenario, Downtown Grille (lunch) and of course, Bailey's Bubble for ice cream. Others: The Canoe (can't walk but they pick you up at the town docks and drop you off) and Lyons Den. Last edited by Grady223; 09-16-2009 at 03:40 PM. |

In addition to the Wolfeboro restaurants you mentioned (all of which are on our list too), we like going to Shibley's in Alton for lunch and sitting outside on their deck over the water. Ames Farm for breakfast is good too.

Lyons Den!
Best by far, however docking can, at times, be an issue. We are not on an island, so we now drive there so that more docking is available to those that live on islands or have to take the boat there. Lyons Den is an outstanding, year-round, establishment! R2B |

O Steak & Seafood
Although quite expensive this is another favorite - any way to get there by boat from the big lake? Haven't tried.

Well I don't do dinner by boat, but I do lunch as often as I can by boat...
My votes NASWA --- can't beat the beach atmosphere Town Docks -- (meredith) --- beach atmosphere, as well as icecream afterwords, either at the towndocks, or Ben and Jerry's Wolfeboro Town Docks ---- love those waffle fires Now for breakfast, Sam and Roise's --- center harbor BayGulls --- center harbor

Not possible to get there from there. Unless you got a whole lot of money to trailer your boat there. But then you definitely wouldn't have enough money left for their overpriced meals.
