It is positive, but the 6’ guidelines remain between parties. So there is no way a restaurant with bar area can be at 100%.

This mostly pertains to the southern counties who were at 50% capacity due to higher COVID numbers. The rest have been at 100% but with restrictions, outside dining has supplemented that very well. Still need to maintain parties from being 6 feet from each other.

People were confused about the 100% seating.
We were busy Saturday and sunday and some people got angry because we had open tables and couldn't seat them. Nothing has changed.100% seating +6' distancing=50% seating. We're all wondering what the off season is going to be like this year |

I think you’re right. The rental property next door is usually quiet by now, but it’s rented through September this year, and it might go longer, sad to say. With lots of schools going remote, and many companies operating that way, our “season” might be extended well into the coming months, which will be great for local businesses.

I agree that the population will maintain well into the winter. It would not surprise me if as we approach flu season the mandate goes back to take out only for restaurants. That is unless we learn of a miraculous cure or a sudden loss of concern as of November 4.

When we were in Italy many years ago at Christmas there were propane heaters outdoors. They appeared to heat objects instead of the air.
Quite comfortable. Imagine snow and ice in Milan at New Years. ____________________________ I am a retired workaholic and retired aquaholic |

Good read in today’s WSJ on ventilation being crucial as we move back inside.

has anyone been watching the daily reports from NH that there are only 7 people in the hospital right now with Covid-19???
and how long has NH pretty much been operating the way it has now?

Open a couple windows, maybe a door, and let the fresh air flow through.
Take a breath, Labor Day will soon be here ...... and ditto that for the Tuesday, Sept 8 primary ballot day, too. Yes, I maybe caught this damned covid cough while voting, but at least I got to vote, one last time ..... cough, cough, cough! .... ..... (ho-ho-ho-ugh!) And, as far as holding indoor pickleball ..... I thin we can just fuhget-about-it ...... no more indoor pickleball! Years ago in Boston, like around 1920-1925, classrooms with young elementary grade children, like 3rd-4th-5th grade, were held with the classroom windows wide open, even in the winter and the young students wore hats, coats, and mittens during class. Believe it was named the "open air classroom." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_air_school If it worked for classrooms, then it can work for restaurants, too! So, welcome to New Hampshire and the winter-2021, NH open air restaurant ...... and don't forget to bring your gloves and hat along, indoors.

My view of positive is given the factual data of the state we shouldn’t be 100% capacity but still 6 feet apartment which means 50% capacity and other restrictions should be lifted as this is more than flattening the curve it’s non existent now

My daughter just returned to UNH. A week ago they had 23 cases or so. Yesterday they were at 44. This is without returning to normal, but with some amount of kids being kids as the administration waves its hands. Stay tuned
